We stopped at 6am on our way to Houston, and every person in cafe said hello as we walked in, we ordered our food to go, and wish we had stayed for seconds.
But on our way back to Fulton, my wife said we need to have lunch there. Again, all of the hellos, and "please make yourself at home and find a seat". The menu is varied, and my wife had a hamburger and homemade fries, and had to try the Tex-Mex cheese enchiladas. Everything was superb, and so inexpensive. Enjoy Canales Cafe, if you're ever in the area !!!

All the food was cooked fresh! The guacamole salad was perfect and with generous portions. This place serves one of the best cheese steaks I've ever had. The fries were perfectly fried and crispy. The server was very attentive and you can tell that the cook loves his work.
Great pot roast lunch special. Perfect lunch portions, including peach cobbler. Cool little restaurant, clean restroom.

Steak Night every Friday from 6 to 9 P.M. Fantastic steaks cooked on the grill. Good traditional Mexican food also.
